"Lead Your Heart" Podcast
Jeremiah 17:9... "the heart is deceitful above all things"
You must learn to lead your heart, to do what is right, regardless of how you "feel." If you lead others based only on circumstance, only on how you feel today, then you are leader without a compass.
Do what is right, in season and out of season.

Answerman Video: Understanding Angelic Numbers
Here is the latest "Answerman" video. We had a question about whether or not there are "Angelic Signs" that can help us to understand God's will.
More importantly, the woman who asked this question had been on a date with a guy who kept trying to point out angelic numbers that prove this couple was destined to be together.
Enjoy!

Who Is A Celebrity?

I was having a text conversation with some people the other day and we were talking about all these "celebrities" who have died over the past week or so. Ed Mcmahon, Farrah Faucett, Michael Jackson, Billy Mayes (the oxy-clean pitchman).
Josh and Jasmine have both raised the question "why are so many celebrities dying?" My response... "Is it that so many celebrities are dying or do we just consider so many people celebrities these days?"
Think about it. What does it take to be a celebrity these days? I would not put Michael Jackson (one of the few true international superstars the world has ever known) in the same category with Billy Mayes. But with the rise of new media like the internet, cable tv, blogging, etc. just about everyone can be a "celebrity" on some level.
Josh asked me "how does that make you feel since you are 'known' in this area?"
First, understand please, I do not consider myself a celebrity, even on a local level. Though I do recognize that there are a number of people who would. Still, I want to share with you something I have learned over the past few years.
Our society teaches that there is a high price on "fame." No doubt, this is a fake price since in actuality, fame has no real tangible value. Still, we seem to believe in our media obsessed culture that the more fame one has, the more valuable their life has become. The more people who know your name, the more important and valuable you are as an individual.
The truth is that the more people who know you are, the more attention you get in the supermarket or at restaurants, the more you become a household name, the more men or women (depending on their preference) that swoon at the sight of you, never adds ONE BIT OF VALUE TO YOUR LIFE!
The reality is that fame is very fleeting. Look at Michael Jackson. One of the most talented people to ever grace the American music industry and yet he lived a torturous life of severe emotional problems. His fame made him rich, but did not make him happy, healthy or even loved. Therein lies the truth about fame. For all your "fans"... none of those people actually LOVE you. They may love what you do for living, your talent, your work and even the IDEA of you but they do not love the person that IS you.
I truly believe that the measure of a person's life is not in how many people he/she can get to look their way and admire, lust for or desire them from a distance. But how many truly love him/her after spending a lifetime up close.
